Executive Director
Betsy Gillespie, the first full-time Executive Director of the Westerville Symphony at Otterbein College, joined the organization in January of 2009. Ms. Gillespie, a Columbus native, graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Music in Voice, and is now utilizing her musical education and non-profit work experience to manage the Symphony's education, fund development and marketing activities.
Previous experience includes education positions at Opera Columbus and Village Academy and development positions at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Delaware Speech and Hearing Center.
Ms. Gillespie was at one time an active member of the Opera Columbus and Columbus Light Opera Choruses. She continues to sing professionally as a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral Choir and Schola.
